Moisturizer Makes Oily Skin Better? What?

Do I Need A Moisturizer If I'm Already So Oily?

- YES! That's the thing, You're oily, and what causes that is your skin is overcompensating for being dehydrated. The goofy thing is your skin is going in the opposite direction, to be dehydrated that means you're lacking water, so why am I making more oil if I don't need it? Now, to make sense of why it does this, is to think Chapstick- it works by being a thick barrier so moisture can't escape, and that's exactly what your skin is hoping to accomplish. The skin is hoping to create a thick layer of oil to trap in what little water is in your skin and it will only get worse if you don't use a moisturizer. Put the hydration products on your skin or else it will attempt it on it's own!

We recommend some corrective therapy using a light water based moisturizer during the day and a thick jelly moisturizer at night to trap in any moisture so that your skin will be it's best slept version of itself for that Monday morning wake up.
